Talisker Bay.

Start. Talisker Farm.

Route. Talisker Farm - Talisker - Talisker House - Talisker Bay - Talisker House - Talisker - Talisker Farm.

Notes. A striking beach of bands of black and white sand, guarded to the north by an impressive waterfall, and to the south Talisker Point a dramatic sea stack, on a nice day the Outer Hebrides grace the horizon, this is Talisker Bay. The narrow road from Carbost carried us over the moors before descending into Gleann Oraid, the tarmac terminated at the entrance to Talisker Farm, there was room to park just, we took care not to block the drives to the farm and Talisker House, to the left a third track lead west, a finger-post invited us to the beach.

We wandered through mixed woodland guarding Talisker House an impressive Georgian mansion, the good track continued, past the house then under the impressive cliffs of Leathad Beithe. We continued, glimpses back gifted us with views to the stunning rock face of Preshal More, all to soon we reached our destination. A leisurely wander around followed before re-tracing our steps.
