Helvellyn.com. The home page states, the aim of this website is to provide a taste of the wonders on offer around Glenridding, Ullswater and Helvellyn.

Lake District NOW .net. Run by Lake District lovers for Lake District lovers providing your daily fix, pictures, news, web cams, weather forecasts, maps, T. V. events, trivia and fun.

Lakeland Walker. Records Paul Rose's attempts to climb 214 Wainwright's, visits to many Lakeland tarns, including the walks he has undertaken in the North York Moors.

Lakeland Walks. This website is about the walks and scrambles of a group of friends, as they walk and scramble their way round the English Lake District in a attempt to bag all 214 Wainwright's.

LakesWalks. Walks in the Lake District, On-Line walking books and guides for Walks4all, this site covers leisurely strolls by rivers and lakes to daunting all day treks.

Loweswater cam. The Hileys-Loweswater cam, Roger and Ann Hileys collection of Lake District photographs and other information.

The Lake District Mountains. An exploration of 155 Lake District fells over 2,000ft, the website is intended as an archive of walks done and mountains climbed over the years in and around the English Lake District.

The Lake District Walker. An excellent guide to the hills of the English Lake District.

The Lakeland Fells. Andrew Leaney's Lakeland Fells, a photographic walking guide to the fells of the English Lake District.

Walking with the Harpers . Explore the Lake District Fells with the Harper family, including explorations of the 214 Wainwrights.

Wainwright Wanderings . Dave and Edith Browns walking photo-diary, follow Dave and Edith's challenge from Wansfell Pike to Haystacks as they walk the 214 Wainwright Fells.

English Lakes . Join us on a tour of the county of Cumbria. This site is designed as a guide to places of interest, landscapes historic buildings, towns and villages in the county of Cumbria.

AndyFellwalker . Andy Wallace's homepage tells us his website is a place to share his experiences on fell walks, chiefly in the Lake District.

Lake District Desktops . Andrew Bannister's site he explains was started in 2003 to share his love of the Lake District with the internet community.

John Dawson's Lake District Walks . A series of walks over the fell tops of Englands Lakeland, a comprehensive guide to walking the hills of the Lake District, supported by excellent photographs.

mywainwrights . Gary Richardson's photographic walking journal covering mainly the Lake District, backed up with maps and some excellent photographs.

Olicana Telephone Company (O.T.C.). Follow the adventures of a group of friends who have been walking together since 1983, that's an awful lot of rambling through the English Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors.

Peakseekers . Follow the adventures of Matt ------- keen amateur photographer and fellwalker based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, as he and a group of friends (I wish I had that many friends) explore the landscapes of England, Scotland and Wales, Matt, new to web design and apologizes for his efforts, no apologies needed.

Malcolm Out and About . Join Malcolm Mason on his adventures in the English Lake District, accompanied by his two Rough Collies Tilly and Dusty on a quest to bag all 214 Wainwright Fells for the second time, picking up a few Birkett's en route.

The Happy Hiker. Contains everything the inspiring walker, and seasoned rambler needs to know, very good route descriptions backed by photographs, loads of hints and tips plus some excellent sketch maps.

Lake District Walks.co.uk . Joe Jackson's web site, basically a directory of the Lake District, his words not mine, I think it will build in to much more than that, covering many walks with information on tarns, Wainwrights, ancient remains plus scrambles, lakes, waterfalls and villages.

Walking Britain . Over 8,200 pages of walking information, including many walk descriptions, dedicated to the footpaths that cross the landscape.

www.conneryscottishwalks.co.uk claims to be one of the biggest independent walking websites in Scotland.

V-G Backpacking .This site covers mainly mountainous and remote regions of England and Wales, also covering low-level walks and all day walks.

Trekking Britain . In depth photographic guide to trekking in the British Isles, Lake District, Peak District, Snowdonia, Lochaber, Skye and Lochalsh, Isle of Mull, Exmoor. Sutherland, Cairngorms, Pentland Hills, Cheshire, it's enough to make you jealous.

Peak Walker . This has to be one of my favourites, a photo diary of Angela Clark's walks. The aim of this site is to illustrate the different moods and beauty of the English landscape in particular that of the Peak District.

Peak District Walker . Les Singleton's walking Blog, backed up by walks and photos from the Derbyshire Peak District.

Peak and Fell Walking . A photographic walking website by Neil Haslewood, Neil says "hopefully my website will be of interest to those who enjoy the contrasting moods and scenery of the British Isles.

My Walking World . Let David Preston from Macclesfield whet your appetite for walking the mountains of England, Scotland and Wales, then the much higher peaks of Europe.

Hillwalkers Gallery . The aim of this site is to provide you with a pictorial guide of some of the well-known routes up various mountains in the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales the Pennines, Peak District and The Cheviots.

Walk Eryri . Walking in Snowdonia, including a forum, gallery, walking routes, everything your likely to need, if you need walking gear check out the links page.

Calverton Cam . Martin Button's site of photographs from many walks and visits to places throughout the U.K. the site also has it's own private weather station based in Nottinghamshire.

Walks in the Peak District . A collection of Peak District Walk's highlighting the history and culture of the Peak District. Andrew Nimmo says "take a walk through the Peak District with me and find out for yourself.

The Walking Englishman . Mike Brockhurst's humorous site claims to be the most comprehensive site on the web for walking in England and on the Web. Great reports on the walks with complementary pictures, check for yourself.

Frank's Yorkshire Walks . Provides detailed pages of routes he has enjoyed mainly in North Yorkshire, started in 2001 this site has grown into a comprehensive guide backed by a large number of photographs and the luxury of a request form.

Walking Highlands.co.uk . Claims to be the ultimate walking guide to the Highlands of Scotland, spread across a number of websites it offers over 360 free detailed walk descriptions, with G.P.S. waypoints, maps and photos across the Highlands and Islands. Check the Isle of Skye a favourite of mine.

Phil's GPS Mountain Resources . This is one for the GPS user, Phil Newby will supply everything you need for GPS users and none GPS users alike, GPS Hill and Mountain Waypoint Lists, GPS Walking Routes, Tracklogs and a host of other info.

Snap the Peaks . Peter Cox's excellent website coverers solely the Peak District, backed up with photographs and maps.
